The Froth Blowers Grail

Bert Temple's No.0 Tankard

I am pleased to announce that Bert's personal A.O.F.B. tankard has survived the ravages of time and is kept lovingly as a treasured item.

When Bert passed away 18th February 1931 he left all his money and worldly possessions to the A.O.F.B. secretary, the Gentle Zephyr, Dorothy Roper (Sheppard). Some years later Dorothy had the tankard engraved and presented to Major D.T. Oxford, some time in 1952. Sadly we do not know the reasoning behind this but Major Oxford kept the tankard along with other A.O.F.B. items he owned until his passing when his son, the present owner took possession. It is not known whether Major Oxford was an original A.O.F.B. member or not.
